Hi, I’m Kevin – welcome to my online language school!
I am a native English speaker from the UK and I have been teaching English Language in Madrid since 2012.
During that time, I have taught Spanish teachers of English and helped them as they studied for the Cambridge Advanced Certificate.
Between 2014 and 2016, I worked as a Language Auxiliary at CEIP Santa Ana, Pedrezuela where I guided the children aged 6-8 years through the Oxford Trinity GESE exams.
Currently I give group lessons in companies in the Alcobendas area of Madrid and I have individual students studying the Cambridge English exams; KET, PET, FCE and CPE.
Some time ago, it became clear to me that the majority of students have issues with the “Use of English” section of the Cambridge exams. Talented speakers, listeners and writers can come unstuck because their confidence in the language can be undermined by a basic lack of understanding of the grammar on which this section concentrates. There is, of course, no substitute for hard work and the grammar has to be learnt. Nevertheless, I think it is possible to unravel the mysteries of “Use of English” by focussing students’ attention on what will be tested and how it will be tested.
With this in mind, I have put together a series of lessons to help specifically with “Use of English” as well as offering lessons in all areas of the exams.
